Anthony Cosentino

Anthony Cosentino - Teacher in Putnam, Connecticut

Anthony Cosentino is an educator who lives in Putnam, Connecticut, and teaches in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. He holds a bachelor of arts in history with a minor in secondary education from St John's University in Queens, New York, and a master of arts in history from Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island. Over the past 22 years, he has taught social studies and sociology at Woonsocket High School. Since 2009, Anthony Cosentino has concurrently served as a fireman with the Putnam Fire Department.

His performance in the classroom has earned Mr. Cosentino a number of honors including a 2003 Exemplary Contribution Award. A debate coach for roughly a decade, he led teams to four consecutive state championship wins in policy debate and brought teams to a number of national tournaments. In recognition of his achievements as a youth debate leader with the Urban Debate League, the city of Providence honored him with a citizen citation.
